We Call It Home

15282_10152589871251704_743067114271231692_nCall it paradise. Call it the greatest get-away! Call it the Philippines! It’s really more fun in the Philippines!

The Philippines is so blessed with all the qualities of being called as paradise. We have sandy and beautiful beaches. We have romantic sunsets. We have hills and mountains. We have rivers. And most of all we have the loving and caring people the world love to feel. We are very famous in our way of being so hospitable especially to our visitors. We offer fully our time and attention to every need of the spectators who visit our lovely country.

The Philippines which is a Pacific country that has a very strategic location gateway to all of Asia and other continents positions itself as a primary destination for tourist around the world. Americans and Europeans who want to have tan and experience the hot and inviting weather of the Philippines flock in airports and have flights every now and then to fly to our island country. Asian tourists also join them to discover the lovely and hard-to-resist charisma of our nation.

Our country which primarily called a tourist destination never loses sight of the nature that God has given to the beloved country. Filipino tries its best to preserve the nature’s wonders and offer its beauty not only to foreigners and Filipino at present but also for the future’s generation.

In a local province of Batangas which is one of the prides of the Philippines for its fine and world-class beach and diving resorts lies the wonderful place called Ilijan. My hometown where I grow up and create dreams a reality. In those beach and sunset where I used to swim and stood and watch the lovely sun sets to rest and called it a day, I was once a dreamer to conquer the world. I know back then that there is still more to the world to see and I know I can be an instrument for others to see the wonderful and attractive Philippines.

Time seems to passed very fast and here I am on your front sharing to you a unique and hard to ignore photo of Ilijan. Your soul will be revitalized just be looking at the wonderful colors that are bursting against the backdrop of a very nostalgic sunset. Your weary mind will be refreshed just by looking at those happy people in the silhouette that has been framed in this wonderful photo.

I know and I must insist that long description of our beautiful country will never be true if you will not experience it yourself. So come visit our nation and you will say that indeed it is more fun in the Philippines!

My home your home too!

The Can

Have you tried to ask something like this “why there is no enough money in this world but we only invented money in the first place?”. Or have you tried to question almost anything in existence and leave you void and coping for more unanswered ideas? You are not alone. Many of us do that. For no reasons. Just sometimes our mind wonder and try to make sense of it all.

Just like Maling. That wonderful meat. I would like my colleague here in Dammam to bring that meat in the country. I like to taste it. To savor every bit of it. Living in the present to the fullest of our potentials.

Getting Blurred

DSC_0824

The last call was in July I think. And some attempted calls and emails. It was like a mystery novel in the making. You will never know the next phase. The next level.

The next flight will be on December. My God it is a year after. What should I expect? I guess nothing. Many things have changed. Even myself have changed a lot or a little. It depends.

I don’t get it. The exchange rate is getting high and I don’t have much money to remit. Then when I have the salary then the rate will drop. Ironic? Isn’t it? Very!

I have our one-week Eid holidays and basically I do nothing but sleep and eat. And I feel tired. I can feel the aches in my body in my soul maybe. Am I in a cage? I don’t know. I really don’t know. What I know is that I am working and I will do it no matter what.

Sign of relief? I guess so when sometimes I have the chance to talk to a close friend and we shared some common ideas of what things ought to be. For us. For the two of us. I can follow that.

This line is getting blurred. An effect of an exile spirit in this land of many promises. Is it? I hope so.

Life in Saudi Arabia. And since I don’t know how to cook a decent food I have to rely on buying some stuff from the Filipino restaurant and somehow eat them in an installment. I am on a diet right? So I have to put the food on the fridge for tomorrow’s eating.

And then sometimes we have to go to a nearby town of Khobar just to have a Filipino meal – a real one from a fast food chain. I love Jollibee indeed! And I have to make some take-out tor tomorrow’s meal once again. Life in Saudi. Very good and fulfilling.

And challenging most of the times!

We’ve been to Khobar last week and I have noticed this old brand of shoes on display there. I was amazed by this brand since I was still in elementary years I was seeing this as one of those trademark shoes of our generation.

And I take a photograph of those shoes and posted them on Facebook and asked my brother if he liked one. And he considered this one above as OK. So I will buy it later this month or before December when I go on for a vacation in my native country of Philippines!
